How This Outdoor Couples Photos Session in Redding Came to Be

It all started with a Target run! I was sitting in my car and I noticed a cute couple trying to put a TV in a car that was clearly too small to fit the TV. I kept thinking to myself. “Should I ask if I can take their photos?” Finally, I decided to go for it! Worst case? They say no and It’d be a funny story later! And the best care? Well that is what happened! Shelby and Larry were down for me to take their outdoor couple photos in Redding, CA and I couldn’t have been more excited!

The day of the session, we started the morning with coffee, getting to know each other better before diving into the shoot. Shelby and Larry were down for anything I suggested, which I loved! We came across an empty field with the fence down and took advantage of the beautiful scenery. The soft morning glow in July gave everything that dreamy vibe before the day turned into a raging 100º+ heat! They were so playful and laid back the whole time, really letting their personalities shine. Afterward, we headed over to the airpark, where we captured some fun shots with the cutest little planes that just happened to perfectly match their outfits. It felt like everything fell into place so effortlessly!

This session wasn’t just a milestone for Shelby and Larry, it also marked a pivotal moment in my photography journey! It’s a reminder that stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing those “what if” moments can lead to something amazing! Shelby and Larry’s openness and adventurous vibe made this session an absolute dream!
