Shawnee and Andy’s couples session at the Avenue of Giants and Eureka, CA, was so fun! From the moment we hit the road, it was clear that this day was going to be filled with fun, laughter, and beautiful moments. We explored some of Shawnee and Andy’s favorite spots, from a local crystal and gem shop to the stunning Avenue of the Giants. Their adventure was the perfect blend of playful, laid-back vibes and stunning backdrops, seriously everything I could’ve hoped for and more!

We started our day with a scenic drive down the coast, soaking in the breathtaking views as we made our way to a favorite crystal and gem store of Shawnee and Andy’s. It was so cool to see the excitement in their eyes as they shared one of their favorite spots with me, and it really set the tone for the day. After picking out a few gems and taking in the vibe of the shop, we headed to Avenue of the Giants. I had been so excited to shoot here, and it did not disappoint. The towering trees created the perfect natural frame for Shawnee and Andy’s love.
Shawnee and Andy were a little shy at first (which is totally normal!), but once we put on the playlist they’d curated together, they both instantly found their groove. We danced between the trees, took in the scenic beauty, and, most importantly, took in each other. It was the most effortless and genuine moment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better vibe! Next up? The beach! Shawnee grew up here, and you could just tell how special this spot was to her. We spent the rest of the session playing around, chasing the light, and creating memories in a place that’s full of meaning. The golden hour light through the trees was giving major vibes, and everything was just perfect.
